The breast is composed of a group of glands and ducts protected by a fatty tissue. When cancer occurs the cells start to divide and multiply quickly growing in an abnormal pace. It can start within the mammary glands or ducts and spread to the lymph nodes and the fat tissue around the breast.

Nipple Discharge and Sore Nipples

Nipple discharge and sore nipples are normal at certain times, being a common problem women talk to their Doctor about. If accompanied with breast rash, nipple eczema, breast inflammation, or swollen lymph nodes, it could indicate signs of breast cancer.

When I returned home, I had no idea of what had happened during my three year absence. I was greeted by my mother who felt somehow softer and more fragile than I had remembered her. My brother looked in and he the strain of simply existing was evident on his face.
