It is shocking to live with breast cancer statistics rising to 1 in 8 women developing some form of breast cancer in their lifetime. Women 50 and older are at the greatest risk. Breast cancer is usually detected with mammograms or self breast exams. About 200,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed each year. While the survival rate is increasing, it is important to note the increase in occurrence over the last 50 years. What You Should Know About Breast Cancer

Breast cancer risk is higher among those who have a mother, aunt, sister, or grandmother who had breast cancer before age 50. If only a mother or sister had breast cancer, your risk doubles. Having two first-degree relatives who were diagnosed increases your risk up to five times the average.

The pink ribbons show everyone that you care about and are interested in finding a cure for breast cancer. Ju — A Breast Cancer Survivor of Twelve Years And Still Going Strong

Ju, thirty-six year old lady, had breast cancer. She underwent a lumpectomy and remained cancer free for seven years. She suffered recurrence and had a mastectomy, partial radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Ju integrated both medical treatment and holistic natural healing therapies.
